Terms of Service

By using FolioMate you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
Your account
You're responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your login secure. You must be able to form a binding contract to use FolioMate.
Your content
You own the documents you create. You're responsible for their accuracy - amounts, tax rates, and client details. FolioMate is a tool to draft documents; it is not accounting, tax, or legal advice.
Plans & billing
- The Free plan includes a monthly document and AI allowance.
- Paid plans (Pro, Max, Business) are billed monthly or yearly via LemonSqueezy and renew automatically until cancelled.
- You can cancel anytime from the billing portal; access continues until the end of the paid period.
Refunds
- We offer a full refund within 3 days of a payment, whether it's your first purchase or an automatic renewal. Email support@foliomate.app within 3 days of the charge and we'll refund it in full, no questions asked.
- After the 3-day window, that payment is non-refundable. You can still cancel anytime to stop future renewals, and you keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for.
- Refunds are issued by LemonSqueezy (our Merchant of Record) back to your original payment method, typically within 5 to 10 business days. Access to paid features ends once a refund is issued.
- This applies to subscription payments to FolioMate only. It does not affect payments between you and your own clients, which FolioMate never handles (see below).
Payments between you and your clients
FolioMate never holds, transmits, or processes your money. Payment links, QR codes, and bank details printed on documents route your client directly to your own payment providers (Stripe, PayPal, your bank). FolioMate is not a party to those transactions, is not a money transmitter, and is not responsible for whether a client pays.
Smart links & acceptance
When a client accepts a document through a smart link, FolioMate records the acceptance (name, time, and a fingerprint of the document version) on your behalf. Whether an accepted document is enforceable in your situation is your responsibility - for significant agreements, consult a professional.
AI-generated content
Drafts, reminders, reports, and contract text produced by AI can contain mistakes. Review every document before you send it; you are responsible for what you send.
FolioMate is not your accountant or your lawyer
This is the most important paragraph on this page. FolioMate produces contracts, bookkeeping ledgers, payroll figures and tax-related totals. All of it is software output, not professional advice. We are not a law firm, an accountancy practice, or a tax agent, and using FolioMate does not create any professional relationship.
- Contracts are starting points drafted from templates. Whether a clause is enforceable depends on your jurisdiction and your situation. Have a lawyer review anything that matters.
- Payroll is recorded, not filed. We do not calculate statutory withholding for your jurisdiction and we do not transmit anything to a tax authority. Those obligations remain entirely yours.
- Books, reports and tax totals are derived from what you entered. They are only as correct as your data, and they are not a substitute for a qualified accountant reviewing your accounts.
You are responsible for checking every figure and every document before you rely on it, send it, or file anything based on it.
Ending it
You can stop at any time - cancel from Plan & Billing, or delete your account from Settings, which removes your data as described in the Privacy Policy. Export your documents first; deletion cannot be undone.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, does not pay, or puts the service or other users at risk. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you first and give you a chance to export your data.
Acceptable use
Don't use FolioMate to create fraudulent documents, to harass, or to break the law. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service or our AI provider's policies.
Availability & liability
We work to keep FolioMate reliable but provide it “as is”, without warranty. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the prior 12 months.
Which law applies
These terms are governed by the laws of the Philippines, and disputes will be handled by the courts there. If you are a consumer, this does not remove any protection you have under the mandatory law of the country you live in.
Changes
We may update these terms; we'll note the date above. Continued use means you accept the changes. Contact support@foliomate.app with questions.
